Performing the angst and difficulties resulting from an anxiety attack or the panic state which comes with fear. A performative expression which reflects the fear a person experiences when engaged in a violent fight. An action that imitates the ostrich in the phrase: “hiding its head in the sand”. To hide the head meaningless in the soil (ground?), leaving the rest of the body unprotected and exposed to the elements. An expression of a fear that we cannot identify and therefore we do not know how to fight it. We are only capable of thinking and have the desire to be wiped from the face of the earth. We look for a place that eliminates us as well as it welcomes us. This place is where we hide and seek shelter and protection because what we can not see does not exist. |
